A rebellion against perfectionism.

While brands like Dove have been advocating for self-acceptance and normalising beauty of all kinds, it’s also true that social media selfie culture and obsessions with cosmetics are encouraging perfectionism. Throw in a dose of Botox and the quest for agelessness into the mix and it’s not a stretch to say that Dove’s point of view is still only one side of this story. Interestingly a number of films released recently take this topic head on. And this dazed piece does a great job of breaking them down.
